Diving trip to Sontecomapan Tek
What you will experience
Sontecomapan, in the Los Tuxtlas region of Veracruz, is one of Mexico's least-known technical diving destinations. We have found more than 10 shipwrecks in the area, and on this trip we explore several of them at different depths, on doubles, sidemount or rebreather.
Beyond the wrecks, the local reefs are home to tarpon, barracuda, turtles, groupers and snook. It is a rustic place, far from mass tourism, ideal for technical divers looking for something different.
The trip is 5 days and 4 nights with 3 days of diving. It includes lodging, enriched air, doubles or sidemount tanks and oxygen for rebreathers. You need a technical diving or rebreather certification to join. Organized by Rango Extendido, a Mexico City dive school since 1980.
