What is a scuba refresher?
A review session for certified divers who have been out of the water for a while. With a Rango Extendido instructor you review, in our own dive well in Mexico City, the skills people forget most: setting up and checking your gear, mask clearing, regulator recovery, air sharing and buoyancy control.
Who is it for?
For you if you are already certified (Open Water or higher) and have not dived in 6 to 12 months or more, if you have a dive trip coming up and want to arrive confident, or if you simply want to get back into diving and are not sure where to start.
What you will review
- Gear setup, checks and adjustment
- Core skills: mask, regulator, alternate air source
- Buoyancy control and trim
- Safety procedures and dive planning

Frequently asked questions
How long without diving before I should take a refresher?
We recommend it if you have not dived in 6 to 12 months or more, or any time you do not feel confident with your skills before a trip.
Do I need to be certified?
Yes. The refresher is for divers who already hold a scuba certification. If you have never dived, start with our Discover session or the Open Water Diver course.
How much does a scuba refresher cost in Mexico City?
