What you will learn
Sharks are essential to a healthy ocean, and many species are at risk. In the PADI AWARE Shark Conservation specialty you learn why they are vulnerable, what their conservation status is, what threatens them and what you can do to protect them.
The course includes a theory session, open water dives and certification. The first dive can count as an adventure dive toward your Advanced Open Water Diver certification.
You only need to be 12 or older and hold an Open Water Diver certification. It is the perfect complement before a shark trip such as Bimini, Revillagigedo or Fuvahmulah, so you better understand what you'll see.
