Patricia “Pato” Hernández

Patricia “Pato” Hernández Ruiz has been diving since 2010 and became a professional diving instructor in 2023. Her journey with the underwater world began with PADI, where she discovered a lifelong passion for the ocean. Dedicated to continuous training and safety, she earned her Advanced Open Water certification in 2011, became a Nitrox Diver in 2013, and achieved her Rescue Diver rating in 2018. In 2023 she advanced to the professional rank of Dive Master and, that same year, expanded into technical diving as an Instructor with IANTD Central America. In May 2024 she earned her Open Water EANx Instructor certification. Today, as a member of the Rango Extendido team, Patricia loves guiding students through their underwater education. She believes that extending your diving limits is about mastering the right techniques to explore the blue with absolute confidence and tranquility. She is committed to sharing her deep respect for the ocean, teaching strict safety disciplines, and helping new divers reach their personal goals.
